Pulse was a consumer app idea that lived or died in the first session. If someone couldn't see the value in the first sixty seconds, they were gone — and they wouldn't come back.
First-session clarity
We designed the onboarding around one goal: get a new user to their first meaningful moment in under a minute. No accounts before value, no tutorial walls — just a tight path to the thing that makes the app useful.
One build, both stores
A cross-platform build meant one design system, one codebase and one team, instead of two apps drifting apart. The design system kept every screen consistent, and native behaviour where it mattered kept it feeling right on each platform.
The result
The product shipped ready for both app stores from a single build, with onboarding that finally matched the speed of the idea.
- Under-a-minute onboarding to first value
- Cross-platform build with a tight design system
